  INTRODUCTION

By adhering to the tagline, we are able to produce the best products which conform or exceed international standards. It is therefore not surprising that ADABI is now the market leader of the industry in Malaysia.

OFFICE AND FACTORY PREMISES
The factory is an integrated complex of one double - storey factory building, a single - storey factory building and a warehouse building, having a total floor area of 78,000 sq. feet. It is located on a 2.79 acre free - hold industrial land in Rawang Integrated Industrial Park, Rawang. This industrial park is located about 2 km away from Rawang town and about 1 km from Rawang Toll Plaza of the North - South Highway.

The land was purchased by the company in 1993. The construction of the factory was started in late 1995 and completed in November 1996. The full CF for the factory was approved by the Majlis Daerah Gombak on May 14, 1997. The factory houses the manufacturing operations as well as the administrative office.

Factory Building I
This two storey factory block has a total floor area of 36,703 sq. feet for both the ground and the first floor. Occupying about 19,121 sq. feet is the administrative office area which houses the following :

Factory Building II
This single storey factory has a total floor area of 31,302 sq. feet. It houses the production area for :

Curry Soup Powder Products
Occupying this area are the chilly and spice GRINDING area, COOLING area, MIXING area and PACKING area.

Flour - based Products occupying this area are the flour GRINDING area, MIXING area, MIXING area and PACKAGING area.
-
An area of about 10,500 sq. feet is reserved for future expansion.

The rest of the floor area is taken up by office spaces for the QC Department, Managers for the Powder Products and theFlour Products and the Engineering and Maintenance Workshop. :

Finished Goods Warehouse
This warehouse has a floor area of 6,400 sq. feet and a roof height of 50 feet. The warehouse uses Pallet Racking System for the finished goods while the Raw Material Warehouse uses the Mild Steel Stackers. A minimum of RM 3 million worth of finished goods (at Distributor's selling price) is stored at any one time. Insurance coverage for the Goods - finished goods, raw materials and work - in - progress is at RM 5 million.

Staff Canteen
Attached to the Finished Goods Warehouse is a Staff Canteen with a sitting space for about 100 workers. The canteen is run by a private operator and stays open from 08:00 hours to 20:00 hours everyday, except Sunday.

Cold Room Facility
The Cold Room Facility is a mobile 40-footer refrigerated container unit, parked in the factory compound. This storage is mainly used to store ingredients for immediate requirement. The rest of the cold storage needs is rented in Kepong.

Insurance Coverage on Buildings
Insurance coverage against Fire on the Buildings and Furnitures, Fixture, Fittings and Renovation is at RM 8.3 million.

Department of Research and Development
This Department was set up when the Company started business in 1984. Over the years, the Department has been equipped with the required specific testing equipments and apparatus and staffed by qualified and experienced personnel. The R & D laboratory is presently equipped with a Bio-Lab, a Micro - Lab and a Kitchen. The main functions of the Department include :

To research and come up with new products
2.
To ensure products are up to specifications
3.
To conduct taste - test on a new product, prior to its commercial production
4.
To undertake any required changes in the formulation of products that need improvement
5.
To document products' specifications
6.
To conduct durability test on products

Viewing the Company's business strategy of futher diversifying its product range, the R&D Department has been upgraded in status. Following this, better qualified and experienced personnel are recruited.
